July updates from SYNQ

Published on
July 31, 2025

We’re excited to launch Scout Testing and Monitoring Advisor. It’s designed to help you build a best-in-class testing strategy using AI, no matter if you’re just getting started with testing or if you already have thousands of tests.

Watch our in-depth Scout webinar here:

What's new in SYNQ this month

Scout testing and monitoring advisor

You can use the testing and monitoring advisor in the SYNQ platform today. When you navigate to a table, Scout will give you a set of suggested monitors and tests. Instead of adding the most basic not_null and unique tests, we analyse each column, where it goes, where the data is coming from, and what the data product or use case is at the end of this.

You can also provide specific context about your business or data use case in a prompt, and the tests suggested will reflect that.

The agent is optimised for analytics engineering workflows and tests, and monitors can be directly deployed to dbt, SQLMesh, and SYNQ to work with the tools you already use.

Read more in our Scout documentation.

Scout configurations

You can customize how Scout behaves by configuring triage settings, providing context, and selecting the right data sources.

Scout can also be configured to run both in the cloud and on-premises to fit your security requirements. Read more in our Scout setup documentation.

Airflow integration improvements

You can now see Airflow task logs, including error snippets, directly in SYNQ. We’ve also improved lineage capture by supporting the native OpenLineage provider, and made setup easier whether you’re using MWAA, remote logging, or the REST API.

REST API endpoints

If you’re integrating SYNQ into your own tools or platforms, you can use our REST API endpoints. See our API documentation with full references for entities, monitors, and more.
